Banding of Antarctic Seabirds is widely used by researchers of several countries, to obtain information of demographic and reproductive parameters. In this paper we report on the development of the Chilean Antarctic Seabird banding program and give the register of resighted birds on the South Shetland. We also inform of recapture of Giant Petrel, Brown Skua and Sheathbill banded by other researchers. Our program is directed mainly to the study of the three Pygoscelis penguins breeding in the area. Nevertheless, the last season was extended to Oceanites oceanicus and Fregetta tropica. The recovery data of penguins confirm that a significant proportion of birds return every season to the same site of nesting where they were born.
